Detailed Information

The Peppermill Resort Spa Casino is found in Midtown Reno, Nevada. Therefore, it’s close to the National Automobile Museum, the Nevada Museum of Art, and Virginia Lake. Likewise, it’s about three miles away from the Reno Strip.

When you first arrive, you’re mesmerized by the beauty and sheer height of everything at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino. You can’t believe you will live there for one or more nights.

This four-star hotel has 1,621 rooms and welcomes all types of travelers. I spent a few nights at the Peppermill Resort before heading to Lake Tahoe to enjoy golf and outdoor adventures. Let’s learn more in my Peppermill Resort review.

Check-in Experience

Peppermill Resort Spa Casino Review
Management / Peppermill Resort Spa Casino

I had an excellent experience when I checked in. The staff were all welcoming and helpful, asking me if I needed assistance with my luggage. When I provided my name at the front desk, they looked up my reservations and had me on my way to the room with no issues.

There are various rooms and suites available. The Deluxe comes with two queens or one king bed, and you can have your own hot tub or steam shower.

Overall, the suites are much more spacious than the deluxe rooms, and you’ll get many more amenities. Many are part of Peppermill Tower rooms, so they’re being remodeled. However, you have a writing desk, a sitting area, two phones, a video checkout, an in-room safe, and a Keurig coffee machine.

The rooms are very clean, and the bathrooms are brightly lit. However, I will say that there’s tons of neon outside, depending on your room’s location. Therefore, you might have to keep the curtains closed when you’re in there relaxing at night.

Property Amenities & Facilities

Peppermill Resort Spa Casino guests can access a gym, fitness center, casino, an indoor pool, and two outdoor pools. You’ll enjoy on-site parking and a free airport shuttle directly from Reno-Tahoe International Airport, though I must admit there were limited hours.

The other resort amenities include free WiFi in all public places, a sauna, and a conference and business center. Likewise, you’ll have free toiletries and hair dryers for the room, and the beds are made with premium linens. Each room has a coffee maker and refrigerator, and you can even pay to watch movies.

Peppermill Resort offers a world-class spa and wellness center for relaxation and rejuvenation that cannot be missed.

Dining & Cuisine

The resort offers 15 distinctive restaurants, offering a wide variety of cuisines, so you’ll never have to go without them. This establishment has won awards for its food. The options include:

  • Romanza – Offers Italian cuisine in a romantic setting
  • Chi – Serves contemporary and traditional Asian meals
  • Bimini Steakhouse – Offers seafood, pork chops, and hardwood-grilled steaks in a beautiful atmosphere
  • Café Milano – Open 24/7 and has tons of favorites
  • Oceano – Features the best AYCE sushi and freshest seafood in Reno
  • Sabroso – Fast-casual taqueria that serves hand-crafted and authentic Mexican cuisine
  • Biscotti’s – Serves a large menu to please everyone
  • Biscotti’s Café – Offers cake, pastries, coffees, and homemade gelato
  • Sports Deli – Has authentic NYC favorites
  • Café Espresso – Has fresh-grilled paninis, pastries, and coffees
  • Back Bar – Offers Mexican-inspired cocktails and various snacks

I loved that I could find it without leaving the resort, no matter what time it was or what I was in the mood for. Then there’s always a spot for the later night, after-dinner drinks.

Unique Selling Points

The top unique selling point is that everything is available in one spot. You never have to leave the hotel to get food, gamble, and enjoy the sights. With its expansive casino floor, the resort offers guests access to over 2,500 slot machines and 70 table games.

I also liked the Spa Toscana because it offers many massage and treatment options and is Northern Nevada’s only caldarium with an indoor pool.

You can always relax, and there’s 24-hour room service, so you don’t leave the room unless you wish to! I was surprised to learn of the dedicated concierge service. They help guests get comfortable rooms and make various arrangements during their stays.

Surrounding Area

The Peppermill Resort Spa Casino sits on the outskirts of downtown Reno, so it’s not within walking distance of the other Reno attractions. You’ll have to drive about 10 minutes to the downtown area to experience the shops, restaurants, and casinos there. Still, it’s a beautiful place to check out.

I recommend using the spa and resort pools as often as possible. Then, you can easily dine without having to leave. If you get away from the hotel, Lake Tahoe is only about 45 minutes away!

Value for Money

Staying at the Peppermill is decent, considering the options in Reno, though I wasn’t expecting the $40 resort fee. The price you pay goes up significantly based on the type of room you get, so it’s possible to save money if you don’t need anything fancy.

I would definitely return to the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, and I’ve already recommended it to family and friends who want the ultimate gambling getaway. It’s best to book far in advance because the rooms quickly fill up. It’s a hot little place on the outskirts of Reno.
