The neighborhood is accessible and diverse, with a younger demographic drawn by affordable rents and improving amenities. It offers an authentic slice of daily Bratislava life far from the tourist trail — honest, unpretentious, and increasingly creative.
The neighborhood is well connected by bus, tram, and trolleybus routes to the old town and main train station, with most journeys taking 10 to 20 minutes. A new tram line has improved links, and the Danube bike path runs directly along the borough’s northern edge. Bratislava Airport is a short bus ride to the east, and the Austrian border crossing toward Vienna sits just to the west.
