First up is one of the best-rated restaurants in Jackson: Local Restaurant & Bar. This modern and upscale steakhouse is most appreciated for its locally-ranched meats and game, and it’s in a prime location in Jackson’s historic Town Square.
In addition to the extensive menu filled with steak, seafood, and other various entrees, you’ll definitely want to order a few of their fun and unique libations. If your go-to is a tropical-flavored drink, try out the Alllrighty Then, which contains lemongrass-infused rum, coconut cream, Thai basil, and lime juice.
If you don’t have a huge appetite but are hoping to sample the wide array of plates available at Local, I recommend sharing a bunch of small bites. The herb-roasted bone marrow, buffalo tartare, and customizable charcuterie are perfect for sampling a lot of what this amazing eatery has to offer.

Another must-try in Jackson’s Town Square is the Snake River Grill, a high-end eatery using only the freshest and finest ingredients in the area. The log cabin-esque dining room is warm and cozy after a day in the mountains, and you won’t want to fill up before dessert here. The butterscotch trifle, made with winter spice cake and butterscotch pudding, will complete the warm and cozy vibes. The dress code is “Jackson casual,” and while kids are more than welcome, note that there aren’t high chairs or special menus available.

Located in charming downtown Jackson Hole, Orsetto Italian Bar and Eatery is one of the most popular restaurants in Jackson Hole for light and classic Italian cuisine. There’s something for everyone at this eatery, but I recommend ordering a bunch of antipasti and bruschetta to share. The ricotta bruschetta features truffle honey and walnuts, or you can opt for something simpler, like the marinated tomato bruschetta, which includes burrata, olive oil, and basil.

The extensive menu offers everything from delicious pierogies to smoked chicken wings, fish tacos, burgers, and of course, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Piste has to be one of the coolest dining experiences in the ski village and even the whole Jackson Hole area. It’s located on a mountaintop that you’ll have to take a gondola to access. As you might imagine, this means amazing views, which can be enjoyed from their outdoor terrace in the right weather!
This very popular restaurant is open for lunch in the winter and dinner in the summer, and the menu changes for the season. One year-round eatery is Dornan’s Pizza & Pasta Company, which boasts beautiful rooftop views and an extensive menu offering.
Static Peak is not only a crowd-favorite peak to hike to but also the name of a mouth-watering pizza that features BBQ sauce, chicken, smoked gouda, and red onion. All 12-inch pizzas can be made with gluten-free dough.
While the restaurant is, of course, best known for its pizzas, they also have a wide array of unique appetizers, such as pepperoni rolls and the spicy burrata affogato. You’ll find it on a street corner in Town Square, across the street from Cowboy Coffee Co. It’s a retro soda fountain with American classics that locals love. Don’t pass up on their homemade shakes, ice creams, and sundaes – even in the snow.
