Another must-try in Jackson’s Town Square is the Snake River Grill, a high-end eatery using only the freshest and finest ingredients in the area. People love it for the warm atmosphere, attentive staff, and delicious food. The cuisine is described as modern American, and many dishes are cooked in the restaurant’s wood-burning oven.

The log cabin-esque dining room is warm and cozy after a day in the mountains, and you won’t want to fill up before dessert here. The butterscotch trifle, made with winter spice cake and butterscotch pudding, will complete the warm and cozy vibes. The dress code is “Jackson casual,” and while kids are more than welcome, note that there aren’t high chairs or special menus available.

Located in charming downtown Jackson Hole, Orsetto Italian Bar and Eatery is one of the most popular restaurants in Jackson Hole for light and classic Italian cuisine. There’s something for everyone at this eatery, but I recommend ordering a bunch of antipasti and bruschetta to share. The ricotta bruschetta features truffle honey and walnuts, or you can opt for something simpler, like the marinated tomato bruschetta, which includes burrata, olive oil, and basil.

The menu isn’t extensive but does include all the classics, such as ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, and various kinds of bruschetta. The wait staff is super knowledgeable and can assist you with any wine pairings. The extensive wine list features over 40 wines, all of which are sourced from Italy.

If you’ve got a craving for mouthwatering, slow-cooked BBQ, you have to check out Big Hole BBQ. The small, family-owned restaurant makes all of their barbecue items from scratch using fresh ingredients.

The extensive menu offers everything from delicious pierogies to smoked chicken wings, fish tacos, burgers, and of course, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. 11. Piste Mountain Bistro

Address: 3395 Cody Ln, Teton Village, WY 83025

Piste has to be one of the coolest dining experiences in the ski village and even the whole Jackson Hole area. It’s located on a mountaintop that you’ll have to take a gondola to access. As you might imagine, this means amazing views, which can be enjoyed from their outdoor terrace in the right weather!

This very popular restaurant is open for lunch in the winter and dinner in the summer, and the menu changes for the season. Piste is big on sourcing everything locally, from the meats to the plates, and quality is guaranteed here. While it’s not the cheapest dining experience, it will be hard to find a ribeye or bison steak that competes with Piste’s.

If you happen to visit Grand Teton National Park outside of late spring and summer, you may notice that the number of restaurant options you have in the park starts to dwindle. Don’t worry, though. One year-round eatery is Dornan’s Pizza & Pasta Company, which boasts beautiful rooftop views and an extensive menu offering.

Static Peak is not only a crowd-favorite peak to hike to but also the name of a mouth-watering pizza that features BBQ sauce, chicken, smoked gouda, and red onion. All 12-inch pizzas can be made with gluten-free dough.

While the restaurant is, of course, best known for its pizzas, they also have a wide array of unique appetizers, such as pepperoni rolls and the spicy burrata affogato. There is also a kids’ menu, and pitchers of soft drinks are available. The restaurant is located in a lodge, perfect for a relaxing place to rest between discovering Grand Teton’s most scenic hiking trails.

One of the local, iconic staples of Jackson is Jackson Drug, which has been serving its famous burgers, sodas, ice creams, and shakes for over 100 years. It’s been a family business all that time and will transport you back to old-time Jackson for a wonderful meal.

You’ll find it on a street corner in Town Square, across the street from Cowboy Coffee Co. It’s a retro soda fountain with American classics that locals love. Don’t pass up on their homemade shakes, ice creams, and sundaes – even in the snow.

Teton Thai is among one of the best restaurants in Jackson Hole for dinner. The restaurant is located just at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and is the perfect place to satisfy your appetite after a long day of hiking or skiing. The heated porch is an awesome place to warm up in the winter as you enjoy some warm, delicious entrees.

You can’t go wrong with some Tom Kha Gai soup after a long day out in the cold, snowy weather. The pineapple fried rice is a true crowd-pleaser, as is the Panang curry with crispy duck. All noodle dishes, along with most rice dishes, can be made either vegan or vegetarian, depending on your preferences.

15. Gun Barrel Steak & Game House

Address: 862 W Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001

As you will discover during your visit, the Jackson Hole area has no shortage of amazing steakhouses. One steakhouse you’ll have to add to your must-visit list is Gun Barrel Steak & Game House. This unique restaurant is filled with cowboy memorabilia and was formerly the Wyoming Wildlife Museum & Taxidermy.

The menu is diverse, including Italian dishes, soups, various steaks, bison, elk, and venison. If you want a bit of everything, I suggest the Mixed Game Grill platter, which includes elk steak, bison prime rib, and venison bratwurst.
