Gamla Stan is served directly by its own Stockholm Metro station, Gamla stan, on the green line (T17/T18/T19), making it accessible from Centralen in two minutes and from Slussen in one stop. The island is walkable from Norrmalm via Norrbro and from Södermalm via Slussen, both under ten minutes on foot from their respective metro stations.
