It is a lovely historic estate with relics of its owner, John Moffatt, who lived there from the mid-nineteenth century through World War I. This is a great place for tourists to behold some of the beauty of historic Hudson and learn the town’s fascinating history. The Museum of the State Capitol, a Georgian mansion with a history dating back to 1775, is one of the most significant structures in downtown Hudson.

The museum features exhibits that trace the building’s and city’s illustrious histories. The home is available for public visits from April to October, Monday through Saturday, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
