Spread over 60 acres in the city’s northern region, it includes athletic fields, park benches & picnic tables, a dog park with shade & water, a community garden, children’s playground, and a trail along with riparian habitat.

Surrounded by expansive forest and greenery, Badger Park is a gorgeous camping site. It has four main sections, the wooded area, trail system, Badger Volleyball/Swimming area, and disc gold & the northern picnicking playground.

8. Green Island

Roughly 5 miles off the edge of the Menominee River, Green Island is a famous 87-acre crescent-shaped island.

Visiting this private island is another one of the most exciting things to do in Marinette County. The island’s central location makes it easily accessible by boat from Sturgeon Bay, Green Bay, and Marinette.

One of the top attractions of this striking island is an old two-and-a-half-story building constructed of bricks. This dwelling was used as a lighthouse a few years back; only the foundation is left now.

9. Seagull Bar State Natural Area

Offering eye-catching views of wildlife, Seagull Bar is a beautiful lightly trafficked & back trail near Marinette, Wisconsin. Primarily used for running, walking, hiking, and bird watching, this trail is the only dune complex with a system of wetland and sand ridges along Green Bay.

The area is a migratory bird staging section and is attractive to all species of waterfowl. This expansive exposed land keeps fluctuating due to the bay’s varying water levels. It is perfect for evening walks and enjoying some fresh, breezing air in the city.

10. Dave’s Fall

Location: Amberg, Marinette County, Wisconsin, United States

As you may know, Marinette County is also known for its unique waterfalls; there are around 14 in and around the Marinette region. Located in the town of Amberg, Dave’s Fall is one of the most visited waterfalls in Marinette County. If you’re someone who loves waterfalls, this place is a must-visit.  

Dave’s Fall is easily accessible and one of the great attractions to explore for a few hours with close people. The waterfall is beautiful and quiet, especially in winter. From wading waters to low shorelines to rock bluffs to water activities and more, it offers so much to cherish to its visitors. 

The waterfall also includes a wooden walking bridge that offers magnificent views of the falls. Though it’s not that long, this is one of the best bouldering hiking spaces in and around Marinette County, with lots to look at. 

Since it is close to Highway 141, you can access the road to the parking lot any time of the year. Moreover, if you want to make the most of your day in this area, we recommend you to check out Smalley Falls, Piers Gorge, and Long Slide Falls. 

11. Red Arrow Park

An attractive blend of natural beauty and recreational activities, Red Arrow Park is another excellent tourist spot in Marinette County. The landscape of this park is exceptionally inviting and spectacular throughout the year. It features a bike trail, pavilion, picnic shelters, playground, picnic tables, parking, trails, fishing spots, and restrooms. 

The best time to visit Red Arrow Park is during winters as it offers so much to do, including ice skating. Bring your own skates or rent a pair to enjoy the activity. 

The pavilion in the park can accommodate around 60 people inside, with additional outdoor seating for over 200. It includes several amenities, such as a large charcoal grill, freezer/refrigerator, cold/hot running water, sinks for cleanup, an extensive cooking range, and a long buffet counter with serving outlets. 

For making your pavilion reservations, you need to reach out to Marinette Community REC Center. Remember, if you’re visiting the place with your friends, making at least one week earlier reservations is recommended.
