Can you believe that we’re in the second-to-last month of the year, and it’s already Thanksgiving time? While it may be starting to get cold out in much of America, look at the bright side – with Thanksgiving comes Black Friday and Cyber Monday, when we can find some of the best travel deals of the year. The best Black Friday travel deals below will have you dreaming of your next vacation.
Black Friday is no longer about lining up at the electronics store at midnight after your turkey dinner for a fancy new television. It’s not so much a “day” anymore as it is a whole week or even a mini-season.
From now through the end of the month, and in some cases even December, travelers can find more deals than ever on airline tickets, accommodations, and vacation packages to some of the top vacation destinations in the world!
But no two Black Friday sales are alike, and it can be difficult to sift through all of the publicity to know who is doing what and when. Since it’s so competitive to secure these deals once they drop, it’s important to know exactly where and when to go to get them.

Black Friday Travel Deals of 2023: Incredible Deals on Hotels
With the price of accommodations increasing, it’s more important than ever to save at hotels and resorts. Most major chains and online travel agencies offer excellent Black Friday hotel deals that can get you your dream vacation destination for a big discount.
One of our favorites in general for hotel deals is Booking.com, and once again, they aren’t disappointing anyone with their Black Friday sale this year. The savings start at 30% for hotels, which is a serious deal considering hotel prices nowadays. They’re also doing up to 25% off of attractions and things to do at your destination.
The sale is live, and you can access it on their Deals Page or by searching a destination like you normally would. Specials will have a “Black Friday Deal” sticker with the original and sale prices. The offer is only good until November 29th, but your travel dates can be until the end of 2024.
Doing some sample searches, we’ve found hotels in Orlando selling for well under $100 per night with this deal. Some hotels in Las Vegas, such as Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s), are going for 35% off.

Another favorite for booking all things travel, Expedia is offering a similar deal to Booking.com for its members, with discounts starting at 30% again. If you aren’t already an Expedia OneKey Rewards member, take a few minutes to sign up – it’s free, gets you points for every purchase, and gives you access to this deal.
Expedia has a Black Friday page where you can immediately see some of the destination cities and discounts that are being offered. This sale only runs until November 29th, and you can travel until the end of 2024 – a much longer travel period than last year’s sale.
We’ve seen some especially great Black Friday travel deals to Hawaii on Expedia, like hotel prices under $200 per night on Oahu at the Luana Waikiki Hotel & Suites. Plus, you can also search vacation packages to save money on flights as well – I’m looking at a 5-night stay in Hawaii for under $1,000 per person, flights and hotels included.
The other big online travel agency we’ll mention is Priceline, which has one of its most serious Black Friday sales in history. The basic deal is 30% or more off hotels, like its above competitors. You must book by November 27th and stay by May 31st, 2024; that makes this deal one of the shortest-spanning in terms of travel periods.
But there are promo codes, mystery coupons, and all-around discounts being offered starting on November 20th, the Monday before Black Friday. Deals include $100 resort credits in Mexico and the Caribbean, 40% savings on hotels in Las Vegas, bonus cash on cruises, and 35% savings on vacation packages with Marriott resorts bundled in.
Another potentially great deal is 20% or more savings on all-inclusive resorts when they’re bundled with a flight. For this deal, you also need to book by November 27th, and you must travel before April 30th, 2024 – yes, more restrictive, but it can get you to the sunny Caribbean during the cold months! Head over to their Black Friday page for the specifics.

One of my favorite loyalty programs is Hyatt, both for its great hotels and great points redemption values. Last year, we saw great promotions on not just hotel stays but also World of Hyatt points purchases. Unfortunately, the savings are slightly less this year, but definitely still worth checking out.
You won’t find a sale on points for Black Friday 2023 (at least at the time of writing). There is a promo code, though, for up to 20% off rooms, double points, other savings, or a combination of these, depending on the region you’re headed to. The code is STAYNOW, and you can use it on stays until April 30th, 2024.
5. Mr. & Mrs. Smith Hotels
In 2023, boutique luxury hotel label Mr. & Mrs. Smith announced its departure from the IHG One Rewards program (which, as usual, hasn’t announced any Black Friday fun) and instead will be joining World of Hyatt. That’s exciting news for Hyatt loyalists, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the partnership works when finalized!
For now, Mr. & Mrs. Smith is offering a gift card special for World of Hyatt members this Black Friday season. You’ll earn 5 points per dollar on the purchase, plus a Hyatt night credit for every $300 spent on the purchase. That could give you a major boost in your quest for Hyatt status, as well as free night earnings, plus a nice sum to spend on Mr. & Mrs. Smith properties in the future.
6. Marriott Bonvoy
My other favorite loyalty program is Marriott‘s, thanks to its huge presence around the world and consistent products. Like last year, though, Marriott’s Black Friday offerings are rather underwhelming, with nothing too specific to the end-of-November festivities.
You can use promo code ZJL until the end of January for stays in the Americas, which should get you unspecified savings on holiday packages at select hotels. For the same period and region, use code ZX0 for up to $100 in daily resort credits at resort-retreat properties. In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, use UK8 for discounts on longer stays – 15% for 3 nights, 20% for 4-6 nights, and 25% for 7 or more nights.

With thousands of hotels around the world, Hilton is a great hotel chain to turn to for your Black Friday scheming. Luckily, this year, they’re doing a few interesting deals on top of the usual discount opportunities.
Those usual specials include up to 17% off when you book at least a week in advance, double-points-earning rates, and free bonus points after new hotel openings. But for 2023, they’re also offering up to 20% off all-inclusive resort stays with the Stay Longer in Paradise Package. It’s valid for select properties in and around the Caribbean, Hawaii, and even French Polynesia!
Hilton is also offering up to 35% savings on hotel stays in Brazil and Colombia, plus free breakfast; you’ll have to book before November 29th to enjoy one of these exotic escapes. Besides these region-specific deals, there are tons of individual hotel specials – browse through the list here.
Black Friday Travel Deals of 2023: Best Flight Deals
Airlines, both at home and abroad, are offering deals to the top vacation destinations around the world. While the airlines haven’t been promoting sales as much as hotels, here are some of the best Black Friday airline deals we’ve come across and expect to see.
JetBlue has been busy launching flights across the Atlantic to London, Paris, Dublin, and Amsterdam. Most recently, they’ve been even busier, fighting to keep their slots in Amsterdam. Maybe that’s why they haven’t announced any early Black Friday sales like last year, when we saw one-way fares as low as $39.
We can’t be sure that they will do that again as Black Friday approaches, but as the airline that brought free WiFi and live television to airplanes, they should come up with something good. Check their website frequently for any sale ads, and sign up for Going to be sure you know exactly when something comes up from your airport to any vacation destination.

2. United Airlines
United generally offers competitive flight pricing, but the real value in at least one recent year of Black Friday sales was in their vacation packages. United Vacations has previously offered up to $600 off packages with both hotels and airfare included. We’ll be keeping an eye on both the United main site and United Vacations to see what will be offered this year.
There are a few route-specific deals at the moment that are rather amazing. You can fly between United’s mega-hub of Newark and sunny Fort Lauderdale for less than $100 round-trip the week before Christmas, which is a crazy deal any day, never mind that time of year! There are also round-trip Newark to San Francisco fares in the mid-200s if you need to get to the other coast.
3. Delta Air Lines
Delta is focusing this year’s Black Friday sale on Delta Vacations, which combines airfare with hotels as a vacation package. These are great for travelers who love the simplicity of making just one purchase, as well as Delta loyalists who want to earn SkyMiles on the entire vacation.
The promo code to use when you search vacation packages is SMBF300, which will get you up to $300 off your hotel and flight package to destinations around the Americas, including Hawaii and the Caribbean. You must book by November 30th, and unfortunately, you must travel before January 31st, 2024, making this a last-minute getaway opportunity only.

4. American Airlines
Like Delta, American Airlines is sticking to vacation packages for Black Friday sales this year. There are a few advertised offers for 55-65% off certain resorts in the Caribbean, but the travel window is very, very tight (like, a few days in December only). Instead, scroll down to see the Bonus Miles deals, as these are where the real value lies.
You should see a few other offers for specific hotel groups or world regions that offer between 15,000 and 25,000 bonus AAdvantage miles for booking. Adults can escape to a Margaritaville Island Reserve, while families can have a blast at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts. All the while, you’ll be racking in 5-digit-mile bonuses to redeem on the next trip – a wonderful early Christmas present, gifted to you by your vacation.
5. Frontier Airlines
Budget airline Frontier is really the only one in the USA to offer an all-you-can-fly pass, which is a tempting offer to anyone who can jump on a plane and travel on a whim. This year, the GoWild! All You Can Fly Pass is on sale for Black Friday for $499. The promotion also gets you Frontier Miles Silver Elite status for 2024.
With the pass, you’ll only pay $0.01 in actual airfare plus applicable taxes, fees, and charges. However, you’d better be very flexible with your departure dates, as they can only be confirmed the day before for domestic flights and 10 days before for international flights. Don’t forget about the typical low-cost airline fees for carry-on bags, checked luggage, and seat selection.
If you can manage that, your reservation is confirmed (not just standby), and you’ll have these benefits for an entire year. To take advantage, you need to purchase the pass by November 28th.

While it’s not an airline, the flight search app Hopper has an interesting proposition this Black Friday season. As it collects several billion fare quotes each day, it has a ton of data on flight prices. And because of that, it can mathematically predict when the best deals are coming.
That math has spit out Tuesday, November 28th, as the answer to all things. Hopper says Travel Deal Tuesday, the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, has produced more good deals on flights than on both the latter. Last year, its users found 78% more deals on this day than on Cyber Monday.
Therefore, it doesn’t hurt to download the Hopper app and set a few price alerts on routes that you’re eyeing. Do it even if you find and book good deals on Black Friday, as you should be able to rebook with a future credit for the fare difference.
Other Black Friday Travel Deals of 2023: Activities, Gear, & Accessories
Besides airfare and accommodations, some great Black Friday travel specials are being offered on other components of your trip, like destination activities. Plus, you may need some gear and accessories to enjoy it all, whether it be specialized equipment for a big hike or a simple backpack that fits Frontier’s ridiculous requirements.
Our favorite tours and activities search engine is offering a massive Black Friday sale in cities around the world. Experiences are being offered at up to 50% off when you book on the GetYourGuide Black Friday site.
These aren’t little-known attractions, either – discounts are for things like tours of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel in Rome, desert safaris and camel rides in Dubai, and helicopter tours around New York City. There’s no promo code required here, so check out the fun available at some of the world’s top vacation destinations.

How to Find the Best Black Friday Travel Deals
If you are still overwhelmed, not sure where to start, or undecided on a destination, there are a few ways to look out for great deals in general. Seeing amazing prices is a great way to decide on a trip.
If you know you want to stay at a chain like Marriott, Hyatt, or Hilton, you can head straight to their website to secure your stay. But if you don’t necessarily need to be loyal to a brand or just want the best deal, use a search engine like Booking.com or Expedia.
There are others as well, such as Priceline, KAYAK, and even Skyscanner. But from what we’ve seen, Booking.com and Expedia will be the ones offering the best and most user-friendly Black Friday deals this year.

You might have noticed that the airlines are being tight-lipped about any potential Black Friday sales this year. Without any specific indication, head to sites like Skyscanner, Momondo, or KAYAK. You’ll have access to a huge range of filters, and you’ll find the best deals within seconds.
As soon as they find one from one of your favorite airports, you’ll be notified immediately, allowing you to book fast. This is a huge advantage on an increasingly competitive Black Friday.
Should you buy flights on Black Friday?
Black Friday can be a great time to book flights, thanks to the promotions airlines sometimes offer. However, don’t book a flight just because it’s Black Friday – make sure you truly believe it’s a good deal that you wouldn’t have found on a normal day!
Do they do Black Friday in other countries?
While Black Friday is an American “holiday,” it has very much grown in popularity overseas as well. You may find deals with non-American travel companies such as British Airways and Accor Hotels to celebrate Black Friday, to name just two.
Where can I find the cheapest flights on Black Friday?
That depends on how the airlines set up their sales, but good places to start are Scott’s Cheap Flights and Skyscanner. Don’t forget that Southwest Airlines won’t show up on any search engines and needs to be checked separately on its website.
