When visiting Lanesboro, the Stone Mill Hotel & Suites is an excellent, affordable, and accommodating place to stay. It is situated in the lovely downtown of Lanesboro, Minnesota, close to various establishments including one of my personal favorites, Sylvan Brewing.

This wonderful hotel is also a few blocks away from the best tourist attractions in Lanesboro, such as The Public House Theatre and the Root River Bicycle Trail. The Stone Mill Hotel & Suites was a nineteenth-century building used as a cold storage facility.

It is built from limestone, with an excellent interior and a newly renovated as an overnight destination, making it one of the top options for a romantic getaway in Southeast Minnesota

The Stone Mill Hotel and Suites has thirteen uniquely decorated rooms across four levels of the building. All of the rooms and suites reflect Lanesboro’s history and provides a home away from home while traveling to this quaint Minnesota town.

The rooms and suites provided by this wonderful hotel has standard hotel amenities such as a clean private bathroom, a mini-fridge, and more. They have a very friendly staff that will make your stay feel like you are just right at home.

Lofts, cozy fireplaces, and romantic hot tub baths are some of the features that can differ depending on the type of hotel room.

The inn has over four tidy and clean rooms and has been beautifully remodeled from the old building’s high ceilings, cool fixtures, and abundance of wood furniture.

Iron Horse Outfitters has many historical places to visit, such as its Lanesboro railroad, which added to a great experience.

It has an excellent motorcycle store full of high-quality motorcycle helmets, leather gear, and stuff that a traveler may need on the road.

The inn was unique because it has a store above, a store for motorcycle accessories store, and attracted a lot of bikers, but having them around was never disturbed.

Rooms in Iron Horse Outfitters are spacious decorated with high-end features and an exquisite 1890′ ambiance.

This excellent hotel is a converted 19th-century barn house essential dorm with shared bathrooms, and now it was one of the best hotels to stay and relax in Preston. The hotel offers cabins and a fantastic campsite through the wilderness for its guest with an RV.

Besides outdoor activities like golf, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and biking, the hotel offers an exceptional indoor amenity to enjoy, perfect for guests who like to stay indoors.

It has luxurious rooms with excellent facilities such as great ventilation, private bathrooms, exquisite antique furniture, television, and free high-speed Internet access, which is ideal for the hotel’s guest convenience.

The suites can be upgraded to a more equipped one, including large living and dining areas and well-kept kitchens.

The Grandma’s Inn offers a continental breakfast and amenities such as a spacious ground to walk around, scenic patios, recreational rooms with gas grills and free bike storage.

Green Gables Inn

The unique location of this great lodging enables guests to go out, enjoy nature, and bike through various bike trails that are unique to the Root River Valley such as the Harmony-Preston Valley State Bike Trail and the lovely Root River State Bike Trail system.

Biking is not the only activity the guests can enjoy while on their stay in Trailhead Inn.

Outdoor activities like jogging, skating, and simple strolling surrounded by the beauty of nature are also popular in the lodging area.

Continental breakfast is served at the Trailhead Inn, and guests are given the chance to experience a serene and calming stay.
