I stayed here for my birthday one year, and I’ve returned several times since. It’s safe to say the Alma is one of the best Minneapolis hotels.

It’s a wonderful spot to stay with amazing food courtesy of Restaurant Alma and Cafe Alma, and unanimously excellent guest reviews. Both the restaurant and the cafe have fantastic food, so if you like staying at hotels where you can enjoy the experience on-site, this place is for you.

The cafe is very reasonably priced, and the quality is exceptional. Hotel Alma serves breakfast with excellent coffee (my cold brew fix was filled immediately) and provides various daily lunch and dinner specials options.

Restaurant Alma is a high-end restaurant with a full dining experience with either prix-fixe or a la carte; it’s consistently ranked as one of the best Minneapolis restaurants out there.  As for this all-suite hotel, it’s as boutique as it gets. It offers seven different hotel rooms, each with varying styles. Each room is designed to perfection. When I stay at hotels like Hotel Alma, it makes me want to up my interior design game.

Here’s how my room looked upon arrival. The hotel provided fresh sparkling water and snacks. As you can see from the picture, the rooms are especially cozy.

In addition to the awesome decor, my hotel room had a nice terrace with views of the Mississippi River.  The cafe lighting was excellent for me to enjoy a nice drink from the bar at night and soak in the views.

Hotel Terrace with Skyline View

Hotel Alma is one of Minneapolis’s best hotels simply due to the care and great food. The design and hospitality are simply bonuses for guests who check in. It makes for a comfy, cozy, and personal stay.
